iSyndica - The Web Distributor
In the real world, distributors are an integral part of the supply chain, supplying thousands of stores. While the web is principally a direct marketing channel, we believe that the internet needs distributors too! Tim Armstrong, the CEO of AOL was quoted as saying "the web is going to get more fragmented over time"
iSyndica was founded on this premise. Founded by two early employees of Vistaprint and two young upstart engineers, iSyndica simplifies online selling by syndicating, promoting and tracking user content on multiple established channels.
Who is iSyndica for:
- Digital content producers such as photographers, videographers, authors, musicians and product sellers.
- Online merchants of digital goods and products looking to become supported channels.
What does it do:
Helps our users sell more by giving them access to more sites!
How do we do it:
By distributing user content or products to sites all over the web they can effectively access the long-tail to increase their revenue. Instead of only generating sales on large sites, they can easily add smaller sites to sell more. For any category, there are 5 to 50 ecommerce sites which can generate meaningful sales, plus the seller's own store/website.
