Objectives

We have a very simple set of objectives for 2009:

  1. Release product. We are totally focussed on building and releasing usable software, early in our growth cycle, and using the advantages of cloud computing to release frequent updates.
  2. Get customers. That's the whole point of building a product! We want people to use it, and find value in using it.
  3. Build our core team. We start the year with 3, we want to add another 3 engineers and a top tier MBA by Q2. For jobs >>
  4. Enter (and do well in) a major competition: The Amazon AWS Start-up Challenge starting in September. There's $100K up for grabs, and there's likely to be significant interest from potential investors. We think judges like the following: an experienced team; a strong concept with large market; a monetizable business model; a prototype and/or customers; funding in place; and a clear path to profitability. iSyndica has all five. Last year's winner recently closed $8.5m of funding.
